Volunteers are needed to assist voters at the seven Durham early voting polling sites from October 16th through November 1st. In addition to distributing a handout from the Democratic Party titled “Obama Straight Flip,” volunteers will be working to ensure that every vote counts.

 

The volunteer role is especially critical this election to reduce the number of “undervotes” for Barack Obama for president (as well as for judges on the ballot). Durham County is using the ES&S Model 100 voting machine. Voters that intend to vote a “straight party ticket” must mark their selections for president and judges separately. Most voters will appreciate hearing this from our volunteers!
